A UN manda sempre comunicados de interesse público e geral:
“ISF (ADF) environmental health people have advised the Battle Group of results of testing of various water samples in Dili and the results reveal a nasty problem.
1. Several popularly attended restaurants in Dili were visited and water they were using to wash salads etc was collected
2. Salt water from beaches around Dili that are frequented by UN staff was collected and tested.
The samples were found to have unacceptably high levels of contamination by faeces. This may account for the abnormally high number of UN people who are ill at the moment in Mission.
